Progress on the Canfield Connect

Canfield Consortium hosted a clean-up event during national volunteer week to highlight the environmental work that we've been doing leading up to Earth Day 2022. Over 20 volunteers helped to clear trash, branches and debris from the pilots lots for the Canfield Connect. Students from Wayne State University and UM-Dearborn were instrumental in the progress made during the 4 hour event.

Canfield Consortium is working with JIMA Studio to development the Canfield Connect, a non-motorized shared use path that will connect Brewer Park in East Canfield Village to nearby Pingree Park. The neighborhood greenway will be comprised of vacant lots, turning them into community assets. The Canfield Connect will support a safe way of getting around East Canfield Village that is centered around the resident experience.
